Husker talk

Speaker: Brandon McDermott, KVNO
Brandon McDermott, sports and news reporter and producer for KVNO, talked about Husker football and the effects of Proposition 48, which was enacted by the NCAA in 1986. The regulation stipulates what minimum high school grades and standardized test scores student-athletes must meet to play in college sports.

McDermott also gave his opinions about new coach Mike Riley.
"He's more of a guy who's going to take advantage of what he has in-house," he said.

McDermott said that Riley has many more resources at Nebraska than at Oregon State, which will help with recruiting.
"He's like a kid in a candy store," McDermott said.

He predicts the Huskers will have an 8-4 or 9-5 record this season.
"Ohio State's gonna win it all," McDermott said.
